my brother goes to vnu-hcm high school for the gifted. i also got accepted to the school years ago. it's the #1 high school in ho chi minh city and inarguably one of the best high schools in vietnam.

because of its prestige, there are so many clubs that are started in different fields and aspects of high school students' lives, including those in academics like math, science, english, literature, history, to clubs that are more career-orienting and entrepreneurial, to clubs that focus more on the fun and artistics part, like art, rap, music, chess, and more.

since there are so many clubs, my brother came up with a simple idea: what if all of the students at school could vote and choose which club is better than the other? this is to help current students feel more vibrant about their school's club environment, while also helping prospective students have a better understanding of what clubs there are and which one they want to be a part of.

in just 3 days, we launched the first version. it was super crappy and laggy, but we still had 20+ people join and vote. the following days, we went back to improve the appearance, better the ui, and ensure that the experience is more welcoming and understandable. after the first week, we hit 1,000+ votes and hundreds of students joined the site.

it was a small page we built together, but it was great and fun.
