hi, it's duy!

pronounced "yui"

  • - not "doo-ai"
  • - not "doo-wey"
  • - not "die" (bruh seriously...)

it's duy.

i'm 21.

i made my first thousands at 12, selling handmade, customized notebooks to friends, classmates, and office workers. that was my first ever exposure to business in life, and it was dope!

age 14, i left vietnam to study high school in the usa. age 17, i came to michigan state to study supply chain. life was fun and i determined to take on a corporate path.

but, my life completely changed and got upgraded when i self-taught coding at 20 (well...vibecode + code), and it allowed me to realize how much i love building cool things and creating value for people around me.

i decided to learn ios and built my first app called homee with my younger brother. we gained 200 users and 10,000+ photos hosted in just 2 months.

later, i built sickofclasssearch, a free site for msu students to find classes, profs, and online reviews. 1,200+ users, 10,000+ views, and 1,000 classes and profs searched so far.

those experiences have given me a strong base to now start mooni, a digital wallet for teens in vietnam and southeast asia.

during free time, i also build random, cool meaningful projects to improve my coding skills and learn new stuff. currently, i'm building bitebuster, my first-ever macos swiftui project, to help me control my nail biting habits lol.

that's 1 minute of intro!
