my very first business in college, and it's a marketplace for students' professional attire.

my cofounder and i both go to the business school, and the business school is always filled with professional events. however, after surveying hundreds of students, we found such an interesting story.

many students don't have a suit or professional clothing. buying one or custom-making one is really expensive, while the school's free service often provides old, untidy clothes.

at the same time, students who own professional clothing don't really use them so often, leaving them collecting dust in the closet. they wanted to rent out those items to make some small cash.

that prompted us to start apprese.

we raised $5,000 in pre-seed, got into the school's pre-accelerator program, and we even had paying customers.

however, we later discovered that as international students, we weren't able to make money. therefore, we put a stop to the business. however, it was still a great experience.
