spoilers alert!!!

the best dexter show among those in the dexter's universe.

blessing and his family is such a blessing to dexter and the show ngl. him appearing in dexter's life, through a urcar drive, is so important as i totally see how blessing has helped dexter realize the importance and value of family and being there for harrison.

leon prater and his mind-twisted group for serial killers is also very interesting and worth watching, and it's crazy to see how dexter just haunts them down one-by-one. i'm sure that in season 2, there will be the haunting of al (rapunzel). lmao it's kinda crazy to see cameron from modern family playing the role of a serial killer - like that image can't escape my mind right now.

batista makes the show even more thrilling. though already retired, him trying the best he could to revenge for laguerta, debra morgan, and doakes after realizing that he's still alive through conversations with chief bishop is so fascinating and admirable. but, tbh i feel pretty sad to see a once-legendary captain of miami metro, a good old friend and colleague of dexter, being looked down on while trying to reveal the true self of dexter morgan, only then being killed by leon prater.

s2 is coming out this year, per reports, so i'm really excited to see what's gonna happen. i believe that claudette and her team will get back to investigating the case of the new york ripper after finding a bunch of evidence in prater's vault, also as a way to commemorate batista as he did point out that claudette should trust her gut more and be more decisive. charley brown will be back after realizing that prater is missing and now being, maybe, wanted by the nypd. harrison might still be on the radar of claudette and will be going to the school soon. a lot to be expecting!

i'm giving this a 9.5. honestly, i'm sad to see batista die. his dying is so devastating, and the last words of his life were just so painful. he deserved a lot better, in my opinion.
